Fluxx and the Batman Board Game

Lately it seems like we've been collecting quirky card games along with some fun board games to play as well. I blame it on the convention personally but we picked up Monster Fluxx and a Batman Board Game!

Monster Fluxx
Available exclusively at Target stores, this new version of Fluxx has been designed specifically for the mass market. Packaged in a tuck box (not our standard 2 part box) and simplified to contain only the four basic card types (Keeper, Goal, New Rule, and Action), Monster Fluxx will bring a monster themed Fluxx to the mass market, while keeping the fun and complexity of Creepers for Zombie Fluxx which is still sold exclusively in game, toy, book, and specialty stores.  Not only does Monster Fluxx feature zombies, but it includes vampires, skeletons, an angry mob of villagers, and even big foot all in a simple, easy, version of Fluxx. Never heard of Fluxx before? Well let me explain a little further then. It all begins with one basic rule: Draw one card, Play one card. You start with a hand of three cards... add the card you drew to your hand, and then choose one card to play, following the directions written on your chosen card. As cards are drawn and played from the deck, the rules of the game change from how many cards are drawn, played or even how many cards you can hold at the end of your turn. If you are still confused you can always click here as well.

Introducing the gaming vest

Fellow gamers I want to introduce the newest invention in the gaming world. The KOR-FX Immersive Gaming Vest. KOR-FX works by transforming the audio coming from your games into pinpointed, high-definition feedback. You'll be able to feel the onscreen action and environmental factors like enemy vehicles approaching, or detect which direction a sniper is firing from.

Amplitude by Harmonix

Many of you might remember this game from 2003 on the PS2 but for those of you that don't here's a quick run down on what the game was about.

Amplitude is a music video game developed by Harmonix for the PlayStation 2. It is the sequel to the previous game, Frequency. In Amplitude, the player controls a ship (referred to as a "Beat Blaster") moving down a path of varying shapes and lengths, containing up to six tracks.
